Isn't it amazing how gold never rusts, but keeps it's  luster for all time? I can see why so many people value it! That clasp or buckle is beautiful in it's detail--think of all the workmanship that went into that, way back in the 800's AD! We don't have many Roman artifacts in the USA--I had to visit the Met Museum in Manhattan to see some...I didn't see any abundance of Roman artifacts until I went to the Netherlands. &lt;br&gt;
