I am visiting several of the islands off the West Coast of Scotland in April and am interested in anyone's recommendations as to ancient sites.

I know most of the West Cornish stone circles, holy wells and entrance graves quoits chambered tombs etc and from the books it looks as though there are plenty of similar and unique Scottish places.

Any personal views would be welcome and does anyone have any theories about Brochs?
